“These awards reflect the kind of economy we are building in Montgomery County,”

— County Executive Marc Elrich, in the December 15, 2025 grant announcement (opens in a new tab), speaking about the awards across both funds.

From AI access to practical business use

Access to AI is only the starting point. Small and growing businesses also need the context, expertise, and capacity to decide where it belongs in their work and how to use it responsibly.

Business knowledge is often spread across documents, email, systems, and people. Owners need a clear view of what matters, but may not have a dedicated technology or data team to connect that information, evaluate opportunities, and put changes into practice.

What the grant helps us bring to market

The grant supports our work to develop and bring to market an offering that combines technology with hands-on advisory services for small and growing businesses. Our aim is to help leaders move from experimenting with AI to using it in everyday business operations.

The product is being developed to capture business context, organize knowledge, and turn scattered information into useful decision support. The accompanying services are designed to help teams identify where AI can create value, redesign work, manage risk, train their people, and implement changes.

For a business owner, that means help with concrete decisions: which tasks to automate, where people should remain in control, and what skills the team needs next. We are building toward repeatable ways of working with AI, with results leaders can evaluate against their business goals.

Preparing for what comes next

As we prepare the offering for launch, our focus is on helping small businesses make informed choices and put them into action. We look forward to sharing more as this work progresses.

We appreciate Montgomery County and MCEDC for supporting local technology businesses and creating opportunities to move ideas forward.
